EDGE RULES: Cell Phones are OK!!!!!

For some reason, you guys aren't listening or understanding the rule about cell phones. They are the same rules you have at school! You can't use them during class unless it's an emergency, because it's rude and disrespectful to the teacher. It's the same thing at EDGE, you can bring it and text on it before class starts, but once we start the EDGE Night you have to put it away and wait until EDGE is over to call for a ride! Besides, you shouldn't have to call home either way because I have all of your parents e-mail addresses and they KNOW when EDGE is over! I don't want to hear anymore complaining, you wouldn't act like this at school, so I expect you to be mature about it.

SUMMER IS HERE!!!

Hey everyone! Your summer vacation is close at hand!!!! I hope you all have had a blessed year, and I am truly grateful to have met each and every one of you. I may be starting some summer activities in July/August that will continue throughout the year. I will give you an update on that as soon as I know. I wanted to say good-bye to all of my 8th graders, I will see you in LIFETEEN!!! And to my incoming 6th graders... get ready for the most fun you've EVER HAD!!!!!!! Hey everyone, tonight, Wednesday, April 30th, is our LAST EDGE NIGHT!!!!! We will be having our final night on the Old Testament, called "Thy Kingdom Come..." in the hall from 6:30-8:00pm. JOHN'S INCREBIDLE PIZZA: IMPORTANT!!!!!!!

Ok, so I need all of the parent consent forms, money, and t-shirt orders (if you are not going to Incredible John's) by this Wednesday, April 30th, at The EDGE. I will have extra forms there on Wednesday if your parents want to come up and fill them out. If you cannot make it to EDGE on Wednesday, there are consent forms, t-shirt order forms, and envelopes in the mailbox outside the front door of the church office. You can take a consent form, or t-shirt order form, and an envelope, fill it out and put in in one of the envelopes and get it to me somehow. You can give it to me at the LifeTeen Mass on Sunday @ 6:00pm, you can bring it to EDGE on Wednesday, you can give it to someone in the office and write my name on it, or you can put it back in the mailbox. I MUST have it by next Wednesday. The people who give me consent forms AND pay will have first priority. I only have a limited number of seats so get me your forms as soon as possible!!!!!! EDGE TONIGHT!!! Peer Pressure

There will be EDGE tonight, Wednesday, April 2nd, in the hall from 6:30-8:00pm. We will be discussing the positive and negative affects of peer pressure, listening to witness talks, and doing small groups. We will also be devoting a small portion of the night to a safety and protection program the Church has put together called VIRTUS. This section is especially important and I encourage all of you to come tonight to hear it, it could save you life! Also if you are in a sacrament program, you are required to come as part of you EDGE youth group completion to pass and receive your sacrament. Hey everyone. I hope you are having an amazing Easter with your families. Remember that Easter remembers the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This is the foundation of our faith. We will be having EDGE this Wednesday, March 5th, in the hall from 6:30-8:00pm. We will be discussing our LAST SACRAMENT, Anointing Of The Sick. We will be doing some cool activities so don't miss it!!!!!

We will finally have our EDGE night on the sacrament of marriage this Wednesday, February 27th, at 6:30 pm in the hall. We will be doing a skit, watching a video, having a married couple come in and tell them about marriage in the sacrament, and breaking up into groups for an activity. EDGE this Wednesday, February 20th

We will be having our EDGE night this week on the sacrament of Marriage. After that we'll only have ONE more sacrament to go! We're going to be talking about the sanctity of marriage, why it's important to get married in the sacrament, and the benefits of doing so. There will be NO EDGE tonight due to the risk of snow. I don't want you guys to get stuck out on the roads or at church, you should be safe at home with your families. ADULT EDGE CORE: Let me know what days and times you are normally free so we can set up a meeting to go over the EDGE curriculum, get your input, get you guys more involved, and address any issues or concerns you may have regarding the program. We will also go over leading small groups in case we decide to integrate that into our EDGE nights. Remember, this is YOUR program too, and I want you guys to be involved and to have fun as well. Start thinking about what talents and skills you can bring to the EDGE nights that may help them become more interesting and fun, write them down with any questions and keep them for the meeting. You are all on my team because you have a wonderful passion for your faith and I want you to be able to show and express that passion in ways that you are best at. I hope to hear from you soon. This Wednesday, January 23rd. we'll be having our EDGE night on the sacrament of Holy Orders. We'll talk about how people become priests, bishops, deacons, and even the pope. We'll also be doing a cool activity so I hope all of you can make it. Same time, same place.
